The reunion will take place July 15–18, 2027 in Kansas City, Kansas. Family members will also have opportunities to explore the greater Kansas City area, including nearby Kansas City, Missouri.
Hotel details are still being finalized. Once the host hotel and room block information are confirmed, we’ll share booking instructions, rates, and any important deadlines via our reunion newsletter, this website, and mailers.
The reunion schedule is still being developed. Event details will be shared as plans are confirmed, including family gatherings, meals, group activities, and other reunion weekend experiences.
Transportation will be provided for reunion events, with more details shared closer to the reunion. With that said, Kansas City is a driving-oriented city, so having access to a car or rideshare may be helpful for personal plans and activities outside the reunion schedule.
Family members traveling by air should plan to fly into Kansas City International Airport (MCI).
Kansas City uniquely sits along the Kansas–Missouri state line, dividing it into two cities: Kansas City, Kansas (KCK) and Kansas City, Missouri (KCMO). Together, they make up the greater Kansas City area. The reunion’s main location will be KCK, with opportunities for family members to explore KCMO.
Kansas City is hot in July, with average highs around 90°F and lows around 73°F. Plan for warm weather and comfortable clothes. More specific attire details will be shared once the schedule is confirmed.
Registration is expected to open in early 2027. Final dates will be shared once the reunion schedule is confirmed. Sign up for the reunion newsletter to get the latest registration updates as soon as they’re available.
Registration pricing is still being finalized. The final cost will be shared before registration opens so families have time to plan ahead.
Registration will help cover key reunion expenses such as a family cookout, transportation, and other weekend planning costs. A full breakdown will be provided once the schedule and registration package are confirmed.
Yes. Children should be included in registration so we can plan accurately for meals, activities, and t-shirt sizes.
Yes. Both paper and online registration options will be available. Please make sure your contact information is up to date so you don’t miss the registration notice.

When Simon met Catherine
The LeBlanc, Carrier(e), and Hollier family reunions were established to help us discover, celebrate, and strengthen the family connections we share. Those connections can be traced back to the birth of Simon LeBlanc in 1735 and his eventual marriage to Catherine Thibodeaux.
From that one unique union, the LeBlanc, Carrier(e), and Hollier family ties were formed. Across our three families, we are connected by a rich and diverse history that continues to shape our shared legacy.
For more than five decades, our reunions have given us a place to honor our Creole roots and traditions, celebrate family milestones, welcome new family members, and strengthen our bonds through memories that can be passed down to future generations.
Family reunions have long played an important role in the African American community. They give families a chance to recount history, celebrate traditions, teach younger generations, and keep family connections alive.
It is our hope that the 2027 LCH Family Reunion, “Sharing Family Harmony from the KC Heartland,” will inspire each of us to help continue this meaningful tradition. By gathering, remembering, and celebrating together, we help ensure that our combined family history remains relevant and lives on for generations to come.
Content inspired by A Family History: LeBlanc/Carriere/Hollier, authored, nurtured, and published by Wilma Lee (LeBlanc) Findley and Jim Findley. The original historical book is now housed by the U.S. Library of Congress.
